What to Expect

We’ll make every effort to save your tooth. If we think it’s possible to do so, we’ll discuss the recommended treatment with you. If the tooth requires extraction, we’ll let you know how we’ll proceed so that you can feel confident in getting started. If necessary, we’ll take digital X-rays first so that we can understand how best to extract the tooth in a manner that is easy for you. Then, we’ll complete the extraction process. Afterwards, we’ll advise you on what you should do to heal quickly.

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

Wisdom teeth are the final teeth to grow in, usually erupting when you’re in your late teen years or early twenties. Though they can grow without a problem, there can be complications with your wisdom teeth. For example there may not be enough space in your mouth to accommodate them, or the teeth may be growing in crookedly. If it will compromise your oral health to leave the wisdom teeth, your dentist will recommend an extraction Southport.

Digital X-rays will allow us to determine the best way to extract the teeth. After the procedure is completed, you’ll receive instructions on the proper aftercare.
